On the Road Again!

Sunday is d-day! We're departing Destin and heading north to Hendersonville! I'm not sure I'm ready to head home...Jane and crew keep sending me pictures of snow! We've had a wonderful has been cold a few days, but for the most part it's been sunny and in the 60's almost every day. We have dentist, doctor, hair, and dinner dates all set on our return. What an exciting life we lead!

I'm still writing for Hillary Clinton on every blog and web site comment I can find...I don't think it's doing much good, but I'm persistent! I just can not believe that people don't realize that she's our best option...more experienced, smart, committed and certainly a leader! I think McCain can beat Obama so that's why they want him to be the candidate. When I hear Republicans and Independents voting for Obama in the primaries, I just know they'll swing back to McCain in November. I've never seen such a black out on investigating Obama. What ever happened to transparency? I'm so disappointed in our media!

See you soon!

Work at Home!

Andy says, "I just don't know why Mommy says it is hard to work from home!"
We were eating pizza and Andy was determined to log on and order him one!

Snow, Hillary, and my friend Jane

Just got an email from my friend Jane! Snow in Hendersonville...I may never go home! Finally some good news...Hillary Clinton won New Mexico! Look for my posts on the Washington Post Political Comment Section! I post under the name HealthcareforAll. Now who has an exciting life, Jane?

I'm not working this week because of the Chinese New Year so our excitement today was to get a lightbulb to replace one that burned out. We drove all the way to Camping World just outside of Pensacola. I'm so smart. I bought two, so of course Woody broke the first one and then the second one is stuck in the light and won't work!!! I just love these halogen light bulbs. We also looked at a few of the new RVs but still nothing as cool as our Itasca by Winnebago. We have more storage than anything I've seen. Of course, that's just more junk! We may drive over to Pensacola and look at the new Itasca diesel pusher.

Gotta go...have to hit the bed! It's late for us old folks.

Another fabulous week in paradise!

We've had a wonderful week! First...Happy Chinese New Year so I've had the week off to celebrate! It's the year of the Rat. This week has been fun with trips to Panama City to eat at the Boatyard, and just hanging out. We walked to Starbucks and then shopped a bit at the Outlet Mall. Woody wasn't happy that he had to carry my purchases home....I had to quit shopping because we had to walk home! Estelle got me hooked on Bejeweled 2 to the point that I bought the game online! We had pedicures and, of course, ate out a lot! McGuire's Pub got our wine in, so we ate there and bought a few bottles. How much more can a girl want! We're going to cook pork chops on the grill tonight, drink wine, and watch the Grammys. I can't believe we're going to be coming home in a few weeks! Seems like we just got here. Hopefully it will be warm.

I did watch lots of TV on Super girl pulled it out, but barely. Hillary Clinton needs to be our next president!! I'm writing comments to just about every article published about her candidacy. So far...Washington Post and MSNBC are right up there! Hopefully someone is reading all my fabulous posts! I just can't see Barack providing the leadership we need to get this country out of the Bush/Cheney fiasco! He's a great speaker...he talks the talk...but I don't think he can walk the walk.

Have a great week!

Harley's Birds

Harley's birds are actually cute...poopy....but cute! Here are just a few of the shots Harley and I took a few days ago. These are boy and girl house sparrows. Harley sits for hours watching them and talking to them....I wonder what he's thinking here?
Camping on the Gulf is the most wonderful place! Come on down!

Go Giants!

Go Giants! We're getting ready to watch the Super Bowl! Beginning at 10 this morning we've had ESPN on and plan on watching straight through til game time. I'm making chili and lots of snacks...diets are off today, but we did walk this morning for our mile. There's a super bowl party at the club house at 5P but we've decided people would interfere with the game and the commercials!

The weather is fabulous...high today is 70 and it's sunny. We've had so many overcast days, but it makes for great pictures! Last night we went to Dewey Destin's for dinner...gumbo and fried is good!

I'm getting ready to edit some pictures of Harley's birds. We bought Harley a bird feeder. He'll sit by the door for hours watching the birds. For those of you who know me, you know I'm not a bird fan. They poop everywhere, but Harley was getting bored. He'll sit for hours at home on the screen porch so we leave our door open and "salt" for birds! We have sparrows, chickadees, purple finch and me, someone else identifed them for me. I'll post some later.

More later!
